Would love the prediction on Hall to be accurate.... he's apparently had a long visit at Alabama.  Would be huge obviously to land him and Diggs.

Winning not one, but two recruiting battles vs Alabama seems like a long shot, but it'd sure feel nice.

@kpsyo

Great in-home visit with UMD tonight! #Terps

Just an hour after that tweet, Simms put this out. Seems his excitement over UMD was short-lived.

InsideMDSports: Terps Snag Surprise Commitment

Former Michigan commit 3-star CB Antwaine Richardson (6'0" 165) committed to Maryland today. Nice pickup for Durkin.

Maybe they can also get Erik Swenson (another former Michigan commit)...

Atlantic HS....so he's a teammate of Dion Goldbourne. Wonder if they are a package deal?

EDIT: The 247Sports link didn't quite spell it out, but Richardson's an early enrollee who is on his way to CP now, so he'll be part of spring practice. It also means, from what I was reading, that he does not count towards the 25 scholarship limit for 2016....same goes for Funk and the Aussie punter.

What does David Koechner have to do with Oregon football?

How long have you been waiting for that one? Set you up perfectly, didn't I?

Damn, I guess the east coast bias is alive and well. It's Mark Helfrich, the Ducks' head coach.

(I'm mostly just messing with you, but he is only one year removed from coaching in the national championship game)

Hearing a lot of criticism of Harbaugh's recruiting practices lately. The claims are he's recruiting over a lot of kids who commit, and then souring on them to the point of pulling offers. Obviously he can't really respond to the accusations until after NSD. Maybe it's as simple as he doesn't like the breakfasts the recruit's moms are cooking up after the sleepovers.

"Oatmeal....again?!?!?!"

Actually, that's who I figured, but I wasn't sure.

Don't blame East Coast Bias, blame the fact that I really don't give much of a damn about college football outside of the Terps :)

I think Jim is the type guy who is only happy, if he is getting exactly what he wants.  To that end he will push things right up to the line of legal and illegal.  I don't think he crosses the line, but I don't think he worries if he screws a kid over or hurts someones feelings along the way.

It's sounding more like MD is a distant 3rd, behind VT and Oregon, for Simms....and looking more likely that there won't be any LBs in this class.
