In a situation like that, the D should hold the hell out of the receivers because a penalty is irrelevant.

No college expert by any means, but if you're supposed to have an incredible defense and then give up 35, that's where most of the blame probably should reside.

Watson put up 75 points on Alabama in 2 games. I'll bet no SEC QB, even those who may have faced them 3 times, has done that in the Saban era.
EDIT: I'll take that back....Chad Kelly put up 86 on them in 2 games.
