Just saw this last night.

Thought it was good but I didn't feel like much happen the first hour.

The CGI didn't bother me. They had I make it flow with the original Star Wars.

My only question is the time line. At the end of the third one, they showed them building the Death Star. If Leia had just been born at that time, how long did it take to finish the Death Star? How old was she supposed to be in the original Star Wars? 18? Did it take that long to finish the Death Star?

I guess that doesn't really matter at the end of the day but still, I just wonder about that time period.

I don't think they had officially started building it at the end of #3. They just showed the plans.

I think 15-18 years is accurate to build the Death Star. Not bothered by that amount of time.
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

It's a space station the size of a small moon. Takes a while

Yea they did. They showed the plans in the second one and in the third one, it was in the sky, partially completed.

But they were already well into it at the end of the third one, which means it had already been started.

So that means we are supposed to think it took like another 18 years?

Again, it likely doesn't matter at all but there is that flaw in the timeline.

I'm sure there are some nerds out there that can explain it better lol

But of course... how about a timeline.

They've been building the Sagrada Familia for like 125 years, 18 years for the Death Star seems like all those independent contractors were able to deliver on time!

The real question isn't how long they took to build the first one, but how quickly they built the second one.

I watched this again on DVD the other night and it's probably the second best SW movie that exists.

I really liked the use of practical effects and K2SO is the best droid in the series.
