I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.

I'm terribly disappointed that Bradley Whitford didn't emcee A Capital Fourth in character as Josh Lyman.

It was pretty good. Ran a race and didn't finish last or have to take a nap. Interesting party. Decent fireworks display, would have been better if the smoke could clear - the one way the weather kinda sucked.

Hosting / going to a 4th of July cookout?

Hiking (and camping) at the top of our local mountain where we'll be watching fireworks from the ocean to the desert and everywhere in between.  Should be absolutely awesome!

Sitting on the beach at OC. Hotter than a mother. There’s a great white shark eating swimmers but the mayor refuses to close the beaches. Happy a birthday ‘Murica!

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

This heat reminds me why I enjoy spring and fall so much more than summer. This is why the 4th has never been a holiday I particularly enjoy, lol. But Happy 4th everyone.

My tax dollars go to a lot less worthy causes than this. Enjoy!

Watched fireworks from the pier of my aunt and uncle's new place on the West River. Damn near perfect. Happy 4th, y'all!

We went to an empty industrial parking deck and shot off fireworks. A lot more fun than it had any business being.

Skipping fireworks tonight and watching Stranger Things. Weather at the beach is soupy and swampy.

Spent the day in Silver Spring and had a delicious crabcake. Heading to Rockville Town Center now. Weather looks fine the rest of the way. Happy 4th everyone!

Did anyone else watch The Sandlot today? Definitely a 7/4 tradition for me.
