Saw some fireworks last night at the local baseball match. Tonight driving up into the foothills, which overlooks the whole area, where we'll be able to see tons of fireworks going off all throughout the various communities. Take a good beer to sip on, some delicious snacks, and it'll be good times.

Anyone watching the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest? Nothing more American than this in the 4th of July.
I got up to Nathan's for the first time two weeks ago. A cool experience walking up to the open counter and buying a hot dog (a good one, too, if a bit pricey for one that didn't come packaged with an Orioles game), though the rest of that part of my New York trip probably should have received a rants post

I was at a restaurant eating while they were showing the hot dog contest. Had to look away.
Down at the beach. Today was very windy and the fireworks got pushed back to tomorrow. Today felt like any other crap OC day so we're gearing up to go all out tomorrow.
Happy 4th, everyone. Stay safe.
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

It was weird not watching the O's on the 4th. Very weird. But the American cookout with great friends was awesome. I love the 4th.
