Jesus Christ is this thread is brutal.
Not as is brutal as is this response is.
Ouch. That one took me a while to come up with too.
But seriously, the idea boldness of almost all sides in this is crazy.

Jesus Christ is this thread is brutal.
We should talk about something lighter, like the stuff going on in St. Louis.

How come this thread hasn't been branched out to something like -- Tony Stewart murderer?

What's interesting is the difference between people who are racing fans, and people that aren't.

How many racing fans are here? I haven't gone to any NASCAR boards, but I'll take your word for it that they think people like myself, GD, and Weber are crazy for even remotely suggesting this might be intentional.

I wouldn't call myself a racing fan, but my Dad has been a NASCAR fan forever and I know plenty about the sport.
I also know plenty about sprint car racing - as a teenager I spent many Saturday nights at Lincoln Speedway watching the 410 sprints. It's a great time. My best friend had an uncle who raced, and my friend was basically his main "pit crew" guy. We got to know the other drivers and watch from the trailer tops of some of the biggest local stars. It was a blast.

Btw...NASCAR and all other racing organization need to have stiff penalties to keep this guys in the car in the track.
It's amazing to say that but it's completely idiotic to get out your car on a track with people driving fast.

Refute what I said.

Crazy isn't the right word, but I can't think of a good description of my feelings...

If the car is on fire, I'll take my chances on the track.

I don't get the sport in the least, not trying to troll here but what's the appeal? Are the drivers more fan-friendly than the "big 4" sports would you say?

Not you dude. That's why I said almost all sides.

That's different, and even then, you don't run right across the track

Fair enough..my apologies.

I'll take responsibility for starting this; in retrospect, I wouldn't have responded to your comment questioning if this was an accident or not given the wildfire of responses. Given that this is a dead night (no O's game), I guess it shouldn't be completely unexpected.
