His back was all kinds of jacked up.

But still, kudos to the other guy.

Lemme get two claps and a Ric Flair

Wawrinka was totally in control of the match before that happened.  Up a set and a break.

Yeah, Wawrinka had dominated before the injury.

He also lost the 3rd set to a 50% Nadal. Mostly, because of his own mistakes. Makes me believe that a healthy Nadal would have been able to really ratchet up the pressure to make him win his first Grand Slam.

Stan certainly earned it though. Beat the 3time defending champ in Novak and generally cruised through the tourney.

Nadal did win a set after the back injury, right?

He did, but its tough playing against an injured opponent.  Nadal also gave him a lot of trouble with his spin serves that were much slower.  Nadal loosened up a little as the set went on.

Seriously, the first set against Nadal was the best set I saw all tournament from anyone.  Stan was unconscious.  He was on his way to a blowout.

Too good. Just owned Fed, who had looked really good coming into this match.

It's amazing how good of a hard court player Nadal has made himself in the last year. Learning to step inside the baseline and take the ball sooner.

Fed at this point is still the GOAT and probably will remain the purest and skilled player of all time regardless of what happenes from here forward.

That said, Rafa is the superior strategist and the more mentally tough competitor.

Federer is real close to going out.  2 sets and a break down.

Would be the first major final absent Fed, Nadal and Djokovic since Aussie Open 2005 (!!!!!)

Shame Fed lost...with the other 2 out, this was probably his best chance at winning a final major.

Jack Sock, the last US man standing in the French Open just won a set off of Nadal in the round of 16.  Sock is still down 2 sets to 1, but considering the state of US men's tennis these days, that's actually an accomplishment.

I saw that Sloan Stevens played Serena pretty hard. I like Stevens. I think she's America's next top female tennis star

Djokovic is just too good right now. Real shot at the Grand Slam. Has to get through the quick turnaround from French to Wimbledon.

Also, Nadal looks like he may be done winning Majors. He's 29 and put a lot of miles on his body. Was hoping he could get 1 more to get ahead of Sampras but that seems pretty unlikely now.

Watching Serena choke away this final is amazing.

She was absolutely dominating this match and started sucking on her serve and is collapsing.

After choking away the second set and being down 2-0 in the third set, Serena has won 5 straight games.

Hell of a comeback, especially mentally.

Serena going through an emotional breakdown because she's only playing great tennis instead of all-time-legendary tennis is about as entertaining as the sport gets.

Federer just beat Murray in straight sets to advance to the Wimbledon final.  He'll play Djokovic on Sunday morning.  Serena plays somebody I've never heard of in the women's final tomorrow morning - if she wins, she'll be the reigning champ in all 4 grand slam tournaments.

Fed looked tremendous today.

He is 4-4 vs Djoker this year and has played better at Wimbledon than Djoker has, so he has a good chance imo.
