So correct me if I'm wrong, but only 1 team from each regional moves on, correct? So MD would eliminate SC with a win?
That seems like it would be a pretty huge upset. SC is a blue-chip baseball school, where MD hasn't even been to the tourney in like 30 years or something.

Their last tourney win was 1972. They need to win one of the next two (includes this one currently on) to advance to play, most likely, UVA. This would be a huge upset but it happens every year. Look at College of Charleston.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

Is there a reason this game score isn't on espn.com?
Im watching it on Espn 3. So I don't think they would avoid having the scores. 9-1 and still threatening.

Was wondering that myself. Had to go the NCAA site to find it. Weird.

So barring an unlikely comeback by Arkansas, the Terps will head to Charlottesville for a best-of-3. One more chance to say a friendly buh-bye to the ACC by claiming a spot in the CWS.

Terps opened up a can of whoop-ass on the Gamecocks tonight. What a hitting display. Pretty cool for this school to have a good baseball team after 40+ years of bad play.
Ok, so I'm new to this whole college baseball thing. So the Terps play UVA now for a best of 3, then what happens? I tried looking at the bracket and realized how very little I know. And does anyone know when these games will be played? I can't find dates anywhere.

Omaha!
EDIT: That's where the Final 8 go for the CWS. They start with a double-elimination tournament until you get the final two, then they play a best of 3. I'm sure game dates/times will be announced once the teams are set.

Yes, best of 3 vs. UVA or Arkansas. Winner goes to the College World Series, which is basically two sets of double elimination tournaments, then the the winners of those two tournaments play each other in another best of 3.
