OTOH, while no loss is 'fun'... and certainly not when you are that close...   Carolina is Carolina. They can console themselves with the past titles, be proud they got there again, and confident they will have future runs as well.

Congrats to Nova though, that's cool.  They've had a lot of success, but people still laughed at them.  Not anymore.

Also have to give it up for the Big East, and AAC with their recent titles...

Awesome that both teams were able to play at such a high level...  lol, wasn't that horrible MD / Indiana final.   (At-least in that run MD had the classic game vs. UConn, and the high quality game vs. Kansas.)

After thinking about the amzing shot, the tough way to lose, my third thought was, Maryland would never pull that simple fundemantal play off. Making the defender committ, then passing to a trail shooter for a wide open look. Sulimon would have dribbled it off his foot or something stupid. Trimble would have pulled up for a half court heave with three seconds to spare.

Clearly the two best teams in teams in the country in an epic battle. The way it should be for all the marbles.

As far as I'm corncened, you guys are still the kings of college basketball. Duke, Kansas, UCLA, and Kentucky are only temporary final bosses for their time.
