Stone Won't Sign Traditional Letter of Intent with Maryland
Diamond Stone won't be holding a glitzy press conference to sign a National Letter of Intent with Maryland. In fact, he won't be signing one at all. But take a deep breath -- it's not because Stone is second-guessing his verbal commitment.
Stone, the five-star center from Milwaukee who committed to the Terps in March, will instead sign financial aid papers with the university. It's a protective measure his father, Bob Stone, learned about a few years ago and opted for after watching a few recruits struggle to get out of their Letters of Intent when the coaches who recruited them moved on to new jobs.
Also being reported, though not yet confirmed, the University of Wisconsin is about to sign a uniform deal with Under Armour. Take that, you cheezehead bitchez!
