Absolutely real...

http://www.testudoti...mmits-wisconsin

Diamond Stone, the No. 5 overall player in the 2015 recruiting class and the No. 2 overall center in the country, committed to Maryland Friday evening, announcing his decision on Twitter.

Stone was one of the best remaining uncommitted prospects on the board and is by far the biggest land of the Mark Turgeon era.

This should make us super attractive for any 5th year of immediately-eligible transfers as well.  We could still use some backcourt help.

Amazing.  Just got home from work, gonna go make myself a drink!

Can we just take next year's projected team right now, and have a do-over against those filthy inbreds? I think they need another 40-point beatdown.

These are probably the right choices. Higher than Booth. Higher than Francis out of Alleghany.

Between this past year, and this commit... Turgeon has locked things down. Now fully his program for the foreseeable long-term. Good for him.

Nah, he had a series of tweets tonight.  This is legit.  First he tweeted that he'd be committing via twitter tonight, then he tweeted it'd be at 7:30 (central time), and then at exactly that time he tweeted that he's a Terrapin.

Drink done, time to go party!  Great night to be a Terps fan.  Cannot fucking wait for next year.  Even if Jake does something stupid, 2015-2016 is gonna be insane.

BTW, I had just read a thread yesterday on a Wisconsin board that was very condescending to MD fans for thinking they even had a chance here.

Albert King was considered by many to be the best player in the country when he committed to the Terps in 1977. He actually beat out Magic Johnson for National High School Player of the Year in 1977. He was a legend on New York playgrounds as a 14-year old. His brother Bernard told one recruiter that Albert was a better player than him - at the time Bernard was 18, Albert 14.
