B1G gets tougher with Hoiberg. MD needs to upgrade.

I heard Seth Greenberg talking today that Nebraska is a good job. They have good facilities , backing from the school, good attendance at games, etc...Hoiberg could be huge for that program.

I honestly didn’t realize all of that about that program...could be somewhat of a sleeping giant.

They've never won a game in the NCAA Tournament.

Yea..I would never think of them as a basketball school but apparently there is a good foundation for them.

They have things going for them (as you mentioned Rob)... but they also have zero recruiting base. You have to bring everyone there, and it's not exactly a destination.  Doesn't mean they can't figure out a way though.  Football did for years.

I'm trying to think of Nebraska players in the NBA, and can't think of any besides Ty Lue, Eric Piatkowski, and Dave Hoppen..

That can't be it, i have to be forgetting someone.

That is what Cain said to Greenberg..Greenberg talked about how strong the community colleges are in the Midwest and you have to get guys from there.

He also talked about finding a way to recruit where the better B10 schools have...can you recruit in Michigan, Chicago, etc...?

I think "not a basketball school" might be the understatement of our lifetimes.

The first thing I thought of is Florida (and, unlike many cases, when I looked it up it is actually a reasonable match), since before Billy Donovan--other than the one Final Four run--they pretty much were in a similar situation. Even the player list isn't much before he started.

Edited to ease Bob's pain

Curious to see how long it takes for Buzz to take Texas A&M and Sampson to take Arkansas after their teams are eliminated..

Won't be a great look in my opinion if it's quick.

What’s happening with UCLA?

Chris Beard? Luke Walton? Tony Bennett?

Wonder if Bennett would leave UVA?

Doubt he would have anymore success out in UCLA.

He may get better recruits but I think his style doesn’t lend itself to a bunch of 5 star recruits.

Luke walton is interesting but apparently they want to have someone with college success.

Beard makes sense.
