There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Is this like the NBA number quiz where you proudly said you got them all...only to later reveal that it wasn't your first attempt?

Just busting your balls because that amused me in that other thread. Impressive showing here.

Trivia crack is too easy. I'm not big..on multiple choice trivia anyway but when you can eliminate 50% of the answers on the questions you actually don't have any clue about is just bad.
Much of it is too easy and then there's questions that are complete crapshoots.

For example they'll have some question like who was the President who proceeded Abraham Lincoln and one of the options will be George Bush and another will be JFK. Sometimes the 3rd will even be someone like John Adams. Well easy, process of elimination is it's option 4.
I agree that the choices often make it way too easy, even if the question is reasonably tough.
But then sometimes you have questions like when was so and so born, and the options are all within a year of each other. Then you can get the same type of question, and the there are at least two ridiculous options.
Or for sports questions, I got how many sweeps there were in the first round of the NHL playoffs in some relatively recent year. WTF? Or who won the first MNF game. Obviously some people must know that for whatever reason, but it was a complete guess for me. Then there's questions like how many runs does a team get for a grand slam or what is not a baseball position.

I actually like Quiz Up more. It's time based and opponents get the same questions. It seems to have waned in popularity and never got as high as trivia crack.

Wasn't the first MNF game Browns-Dolphins? (I looked it up: Jets-Browns)
I tried playing Trivia Crack, but after about five questions I deleted the damn thing. You can't have a good trivia app/contest without good questions.
Just look at Sporcle. They have some cool little quizzes on there. Then I was hitting the random button and getting things like "Name the top 200 cities in New England by Population" and I, as a geography nerd and trivia nut who probably could guess a significant portion of the answers*, am just sitting there going "Oh my God who the hell CARES?"
*The real question is, how deep would I be able to get before I start answering with things like "Castle Rock" or "Stars' Hollow"? I'm guessing at least 80.
