Yup. The return from Gary mediocrity.
You get off on being a troll. That said, you aren't wrong. It's been a long time.

There have only really been 4 really good seasons since the championship: Blake/Nicolaus' senior year, Strawberry's senior year, Vasquez' senior year, and this year (which to me is defined as Melo's freshman year instead of Wells' senior year). The Gilchrist ACC-tournament winning team had a great one week run, but that was really just a bit better than a bubble team up until that point. But that would be the 5th best year. I think only one other team danced in that span (Vasquez junior year), they were similar to that Gilchrist-led team, probably a decent bit better in fact, but without the signature tourney win.
Definitely a disappointment overall coming off the Championship and back-to-back Final Fours. Not the consistency that we had in the decade leading up to that for sure, nor the peak seasons either. Hopefully things continue to trend upwards and we can get back to being able write us in pen for the tourney at the start of every season, just wondering about what seed we'll get.

It really is too bad he had to take over from the previous guy who built the team through the '90s to that championship level.

I have the ACC-tournament championship team higher on my list simply for producing one of the best pictures of all time....

The game tonight is big enough... let's just enjoy tonight. Kudos to Turgeon and the existing Terps players for having a good enough year, to have a big game here in late Feb.
Get the scalp, and obviously seeding only improves. Hope to see the place really jumping tonight.

That kid's probably in college right now.

I hope that kid has herpes.
Alright, so I laughed pretty good there.

Half hour until game time and every Terps fan has plenty to get excited about. Atmosphere should be excellent as the Turtles attempt to knock off one the nation's best.
I've been too busy to write anything up on Bo Ryan's swing offense which allows his team to control tempo, bleed the clock, and get quality shots most trips down the floor. So I have a great link instead.

Their basic basketball metrics are right where you want there: assist to turnover ratio, free throw percentage, and fewest fouls in the nation. They truly avoid mistakes better than any team out there.
This offense is not about dribble penetration but rather good passing, screening, and cuts. Disciple and communication is key on the defensive end tonight and the Terps must win the hustle board.
Can't wait for this one.

Look who else I found at the game! Getting amped for this one.
So you got the pics, did you introduce yourself?
Failure on my part to not have business cards for you. Will work on that.

Just looked it up. Between the '03-'04 season and '11 when Gary retired we were ranked in the Top 15 for 4 weeks. It was actually 3 weeks during the the '04-'05 season and once during the '05-'06 season. Both years we didn't even make the tournament. Never cracked the Top 15 in '07 or '10. We've already been ranked in the Top 15 six times this year. So yeah, no trolling. I'm on point.

Crowd there is into it... but looked to be plenty of empty seats in the upper deck.
Late arriving again.
