I was in college. We didn't have a subscription to HBO, but I recall someone who did calling during the fight and telling me Douglas was well ahead of Tyson on points. So we turned on the TV and listened to it (picture was all scrambled, but the sound was decent). Heard the KO and we practically went into shock.

I was 11. My grandparents had movie channels. So when I spent nights over there I would watch boxing. I used to really like it back when the Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield, were in their hayday.

It was also about the time in my life that I would sit through the worst movies if beforehand it said "nudity". And often being disappointed when it was like mans ass and not boobs. Thats about the age I figured out what comes on Cinemax after midnight too. Good times.

Scrambled channels. I used to watch every wrestling pay per view that way... and of course spice channel.

I think 1995 might have been the year where I first used the internet.  I just had Prodigy, which was this pre-AOL (I think AOL existed then, but I lived in Mt Airy and there was no local phone number) dial up service that kind of sucked, except that they posted football box scores on Sunday night, so we all thought it was great that we could check fantasy stats only SIX HOURS AFTER THE GAMES ENDED!  Welcome to the future!

Anyway, it was either late 1994 or early 1995 where Prodigy added access to the World Wide Web.  I remember not having any idea what to do - I think Party of Five listed its website in the ending credits, so we went there.  I think one of my roommates knew how to go to Lycos and search for stuff, but we didn't know what to even look for.  Then, one day another one of my roommates came home from work and said somebody had told him there were topless pictures of Alyssa Milano on the internet.  It was all downhill from there...

One of the first times I remember seeing a web address for something was for the movie, Clockers, in 1995.

My earliest Internet memory is going into AOL chat rooms and trading naked pictures of celebrities with people. No shame in admitting this, because all of you did it to

You newbs would hang out on AOL.  I preferred using mIRC to get on IRC to download my warez from f-serves.

My dad was the absolute man the day he came home with a discrambler.  Oh sweet lord.  So many WWF and Boxing PPVs.  And who knows how many terrible movies (Blank Check for example) I watched as a kid b/c of free PPV.

Oh, and the 10 pm switch from VH1 to Spice was very nice.

Lemme get two claps and a Ric Flair

It was PA's Steinbrenner period, which lasted for a couple years... then his failure at buying a flag completely ruined his attitude...
