I walked over to see him at JazzFest two years ago. I was underwhelmed.

That's more good songs than I had realized...

Yea, I'm generally saying anything from "Pressure" forward...There are a few good ones, but it's hard for me to forgive "Uptown Girl" and "We didn't Start the Fire".
I like those songs...

It's a shame that he's not playing the arena instead of M&T. Still, if I weren't busy that night, I'd definitely go.

Can you elaborate a bit? What didn't you like?I walked over to see him at JazzFest two years ago. I was underwhelmed.

I think at the time he was just getting back into touring after taking a long hiatus, so that might explain some of it. He just seemed to lack some energy and he also seemed to be playing a few covers and lesser known songs rather than some of the big crowd pleasers. Going through the motions might be too cruel, but it didn't feel like he was giving it his all. I was pretty far away so maybe with a better view I would of enjoyed it more. I'm also someone who wouldn't put him near the top of my musical favorites, so maybe bigger fans of his had a better time.

Interesting - looks like they're only selling tickets for less than half of the stadium. That will give everybody a better view, but will also make it harder to get tickets (not sold out yet, though).

I got tix in section 128. It was pretty weird. Took me about 45 minutes, I kept refreshing, till they finally offered me tickets that weren't in the upper end zone. They didn't appear to be paying any mind to the sections I picked in my search. Anyway, glad to be going, but I hate ticketmaster.
Just looking at the seating map, I think section 128 is about the best non-field section. So you did well.

Yeah, I was shooting for that, or the opposite end. A couple sections off the stage, but close still. The whole experience on ticketmaster was just very odd though. I'm glad it worked out.Just looking at the seating map, I think section 128 is about the best non-field section. So you did well.

Did you guys see the concert a few weeks back where he received the Gershwin award from the library of Congress? A bunch of artists covered some of his songs, then BJ performed 6 or 7 songs at the end including a big medley at the end with all of the other artists, good stuff. Just looked for tix now and the cheapest left are 125 a ticket, doh.

I think that always was the cheapest. Then you get to keep your pants pulled down for the service charge.Did you guys see the concert a few weeks back where he received the Gershwin award from the library of Congress?
