Was going to put this in the rants section, but it eventually worked out. Basically HR at Baltimore city schools needs my SAT report in lieu of the Praxis I which I didn't have to take to be certified in NY. I don't have a copy since I took the SAT almost ten years ago and Collegeboard.com wanted me to pay $70 in fees so they can send it to HR. $70!!! Luckily my mom found it in a random folder at my parents house. Usually I give her crap about saving every little piece of mail but this time she really bailed me out. But seriously... $70 to send a PDF? Preposterous!

So much of our education system, especially the further along you get, is a scam.

Going to the Orioles game tonight with 9 extended family members, including my cousin, who is flying in from North Dakota. Haven't seen him in over a year. Plus, the weather looks pretty good for tonight. Nice and cool, and no rain in the forecast.

Ripping some cam jam with 12 fiends from Philly who are all heading to the Gnats game in a few hours. Great little Saturday. These kids are crazy.

Had an awesome time at the O's game tonight. As I said above, went with 9 members of the extended family. Got to see my cousin who is home from North Dakota this week. Hadn't seen him in a year. Weather was great, had awesome seats, and got to hang out at the Harbor for an hour before the game. There's nothing like a good trip to OPACY to lessen the sting of a loss.

 

Little tip for anyone who hasn't experienced this: Dempsey's closes from 4-5 while Eutaw Street is closed. If you get there before 4, you're good. We didn't know this, and showed up at 4:15. Not a big hiccup, and was a good excuse to walk down to the Harbor.
