Got a 2-fer.

 

Mandy and I got engaged over the weekend. It was magical, truly. One of the best moments of my life.

 

And the following day she tested positive for covid, and I did just yesterday. Both feeling pretty rough, but overall mild.

Played the hand I was dealt, wouldn’t have necessarily been my first choice. But wanted to do it at the start of spring break so she could really enjoy it, being a teacher. Didn’t want to wait til summer. We were in Harrisburg to see one of her favorite bands Saturday night, so took us to a nice and ridiculously awkward lunch in front of the State Capitol building, and then walked down to the Susquehanna and did the deed. It couldn’t have worked out better. Blacked out a little though, lol.

The Orioles were great about handling my Covid situation. Issued a full credit so we can just pick another game once healthy. Grateful for that.

I had a tree fall in my yard last night. No one injured and the only damage is to a fence that needed to be replaced.Here's hoping my homeowners insurance covers the cleanup at least.

After we had our 1st kid, and everyone warned us about how our life was going to get so much harder, we were like, hey, this is a piece of cake.

 

We quickly had another one, slightly more challenging, but still manageable.

 

Then we had a 3rd and life as I ever knew it ended.  Not sure I've had more than 15 seconds to myself since (slight exaggeration...maybe).

 

But I've loved every second of it.  Congrats Mike.
