Seems like another opportunity to sign a guy with some upside while we're struggling to find 3 guys out of our starting 5 we can rely on.
Your thoughts?

I would be interested but wouldn't neccassarily throw him in the rotation yet.

Well assuming Hammel isn't having knee issues, we have him, Chen, Matusz, ?, ? If Britton improves on what they are looking for from him, he may be an option. But is that a given?

Well, you are assuming Arrieta gets taken out of rotation.I would be interested but wouldn't neccassarily throw him in the rotation yet.

For now, give me Francis on the team over Eveland and Gonzalez....He can be in the pen right now and just see where you are in the next 1-2 weeks.

Can't have too much starting pitching if he's cheap (would we just have to make to pay him minimum salary?) I'd take a look at him.

He clearly opted out because someone is willing to give him a shot. He is one of the better options at AAA at this point.
My guess is the Twins take a look at him. Orioles make sense too. Padres also could.
He essentially is going to take a job where he will be put into the MLB rotation ASAP.

I agree with SG. Throwing him into the rotation right away is a bad idea. Signing him at minimum, however, is a great move that could pan out nicely or us. If not, no harm done. Let him throw some quality innings out of the pen first, though.
