The Orioles have acquired right-handed pitcher Seranthony Domínguez and outfielder Cristian Pache from the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for outfielder Austin Hays.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

A cool smooth 4.75 ERA. He’ll fit right in. Pache sucks too.

I guess we got our answer. Dumpster diving it is. Cool.

Makes me think something is in the works for Mullins. Pache can play CF. Dominguez doesn't look like anything special.

Pache is pretty strong defensively but hasn't shown any real proof he can hit so uhhh welcome back Ryan McKenna

Looks like a pretty bad trade at 1st glance, and I'm not even a big fan of Hays the player.

Yeah pretty unexciting on the surface. Not that Hays probably had much value, but still.

Hays is better than those 2 by a fair bit. Cmon Elias show us something.

Looks like an exchange of nothing for nothing.

Dominguez has been pretty bad, and Pache isn't really a major leaguer. Hays has no place to play and no future with the club.

Cool I guess.

With the rumor that Philly inquired about Mullins, it's odd that he wasn't just included in an expanded version of this trade

Good news! I saw a dog today.

Glad they checked the back end of the bullpen need. 🙄

Wonder if they’ll give him more or less run than they gave Fuji last year?

I think Dominguez helps us more than Hays, but he isn't good enough to be one of the two good RP I think we need.  Kind of a Fuji type acquisition with less upside.

Hays was superfluous and unreliable. At least he went to the best team in MLB

For what it's worth, Dominguez's xERA is 3.25, which suggests he might be unlucky. High velo as well.

Maybe they think they can fix him.

This deal wasn’t worth the wattage and ink it took to execute it. Waste of time. Moving on, it isn’t worth discussing.

Chance of Austin Hays hitting a home run off Seranthony Dominguez in the world series: over/under 90%?

Good lord I hope not. Pache shouldn’t be playing, he should be DFA’d. Dominguez would seem to be the primary return, and that’s not saying much, even though they only gave up Hays.
