When its all said and done what will we see come August 1st?

1. Stand pat or made some AAAA moves?

2. Made a couple of middle of the road moves (back end starter and solid reliever or two)?

3. Go for it. Added a front end starter and at least one high lev reliever?

it will be an urgent 2, 23 22 21 20 19 18 17 11 10 7 days from now.

More than what they did last year but I dont think they will be going crazy either.

Well, one thing's for sure. They are 8-9 over their last 17 games, and the team ERA's 5.78.

I think it's a fortuitous turn of events to happen now while they can still do something to turn things around. If they had any delusions about riding this out w/the present cast, this proves that they can't.

Hence the reason I started this thread in the first place. I still have my doubts that Elias isn't so hung up on keeping all his pieces that he's missing the forest for the trees.

If the forrest is the big picture, I think that’s exactly what he’s looking at.

I think his forest is some mythical place where having a large bunch of saplings to plant in the future is more important than the actual lumber or fruit mature trees produce. The problem is you have to plant those saplings to bear results. Just having them is nothing more than a warm and fuzzy.
