Wake me when we get a Sega.

If it has Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, I might actually get a SNES mini.

Coming out in Sept.
DK Country, Mario and Mario Kart are good enough for me.
Wish they had more games though.

Wish it had the first few Madden's in-particular.

I can't remember but didn't the SNES have Mortal Kombat?

Believe it had the 'clean' version, with Genesis having the more Arcade like.

Correct. Sega's had the blood and gore, Nintendo's didn't.
After all, Genesis does what Nintendon't.

Good lineup of games. Really dumb question that I should know the answer to but can't tell from the article - can you play cartridges on it, or just the pre-loaded games?
EDIT - Never mind, if the controller and system shown in the pic are to scale that answers my question

Really looking forward to this -- I loved the NES when I was young but, having been born in 1982, I grew up on the SNES and N64.
Also, if you think Sega was better than SNES you probably still have a blockbuster card.
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

I bought one of these a while ago... you can load on any NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, or PS1 game that you want. There's also a cheaper version that will play NES and SNES. It's about $175, but given that you can load anything you want onto it - you can download free game files from a bunch of websites - it might be a better deal than the minis.

I'm as big a Sega fanboy as there is, and the Dreamcast is probably my favorite system of all time...
But there's no doubt the SNES aged considerably better and just has a better library of games than the Genesis does.

SNES has Mario Kart, Super Mario World and, most importantly, A Link to the Past.
Sega has Sonic and, uh, Ecco the Dolphin?
