For someone with his overall W-L record, Locksley probably has about as much rope as a head coach possibly could right now, based on the turmoil he inherited combined with any setbacks the coronavirus has dealt his progress in building the program. Their final record this coming season probably doesn't matter much.
Frankly, I think 4 wins this year would be enough to be considered a good result for where they stand (assuming we see a full 12-game season). I certainly wouldn't go on record right now in thinking we could see better than that. And if discerning fans can notice improved play from the QB and the two lines during a 3-4 win season, that along with a great incoming class could create genuine optimism headed into 2021.
But with that optimism comes expectations. If 2021 doesn't end with a bowl berth, I believe the seat starts to get pretty warm.

I agree. IMO, Locks should not be evaluated until he has had 3 or 4 years under his belt and his recruits are on the field with some experience.
Maryland has been a football wasteland for years, lets give Locks time, and let all the facilities be in place. Then we can expect results.
