I hope they bring back Lefty for this. I think one of the coolest things about Maryland basketball is the fact, Lefty started Midnight Madness.

Piggybacking off the above:
Mark Turgeon wants to play in Cole Field House once each seasonSpeaking to Andy Katz and Seth Greenberg on their ESPNU College Basketball podcast, Turgeon said he wants to “play a game in Cole every year.” The building, which stopped hosting basketball games in 2002, is currently used for intramural sports.
“We’re going to have to put some money, scoreboard, court, fix up the seating for us to do that,” Turgeon said. “I want to do it over Christmas break. Instead of playing a team on Dec. 21 at Comcast, playing a game on Dec. 21 in Cole Field House I think we’ll fill it up and fans will be real excited to do it.”

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

What this is is an admission that they should have built a new building that had more of the feel of Cole. Bigger isn't always better.

NC State plays a game at Reynolds every year. I don't think it's necessarily an admission of a bad decision, just some nostalgia. Even though I prefer Cole, I don't think they regret building Comcast. Cole had it's limitations.

^Agreed. Kinda like how G'Town will play a game on campus every once in a while.

FedEx does't have the charm of RFK as another example albeit a different sport. The new modern facilities do partially sacrifice home-field advantage in the name of more $$$. Greed is good, right?

Comcast is rocking when it's full. It's fine, the product hasn't been though. This is absolutely not any type of admission of anything, other than nostalgia being fun, and Cole being awesome.

Definitely nothing wrong with Comcast. They knew what they were doing when they built that place.
I mean, if Memorial were still around and the Orioles or Ravens decided to play an occasional game there, would that be an indictment of Oriole Park or M&T Bank Stadium?

This.
It's more of an admission that they don't get a lot of fans for those winter break games against weak opponents and this is a gimmick to help with that.

You think Gary couldn't recruit....try recruiting with an out of date complex and see how successful you are.

Works well for K and Bill Self. Of course, they're excellent recruiters. Now, if you're saying out of date complex + bad recruiter just compounds issues, then I def. agree with that.
