Wednesday (February 1st) is National Signing Day for College Football. The four primary recruiting services are Scout.com, Rivals.com, ESPN.com, and 247sports.com.
For the Terps, here are links to each site with their respective rankings:
Scout.com:http://maryland.scou...p=9&c=8&yr=2012
Rivals.com: http://rivals.yahoo....l2A84vrL.1JPZB4
ESPN.com: http://espn.go.com/c.../120/class/2012
247sports.com: http://maryland.247s...Recruit/Commits
The services rank players on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. While there is value from looking at each of the individual rankings from the different services, I prefer to look at the recruits by averaging the combined results as a whole.

Any real significant news supposed to be coming tomorrow? Are any of our targets supposed to announce (i.e. Reader?)
Not that I have read.
Terps fans will be able to follow Signing Day at MD's official site: http://www.umterps.c.../012712aab.html
Testudo Times has been providing great coverage, I'm sure they will be on top of anything that happens.
Today Testudo Times looked at the LB's, and Secondary players (http://www.testudoti...ommitments-back)
Of course Matt Bracken at The Sun (http://www.baltimore...ecruiting-blog/) always does an excellent job as well.
We know that Goldman and Darby are likely to commit to FSU tomorrow (http://www.washingto...qE5fQ_story.html) . That Washington Post story also says Diggs is likely to wait until Feb 10th to announce. Florida might be the favorite, but MD getting the last visit (and him being on campus for MD/UNC) is a good thing.
Kirven has committed to Alabama.

All-Met Defensive Player of the Year Stefon Diggs of Good Counsel is poised to announce that he will accept a scholarship offer to play for Maryland, according to a source with knowledge of Diggs’s plans.
Diggs had planned to announce his college choice Friday on Comcast SportsNet, but a station spokesman said Thursday that Diggs had backed out of the arrangement. While Diggs still might make his choice known Friday, it was not immediately clear when or where that will take place.

Obviously this would be awesome news by itself, but I also think it is a good sign that DOB stays (he hosted Diggs).

As important as it is to add his 'talent', it was just as important to add a local player of his stature. Hopefully, it will convince future local blue chippers to do the same.
