Pirates are coming back to earth after their flukey hot start. Take the series.
At some point the O's will fall back to earth.....or maybe just maybe they really are this good?

They've held their own against the better teams (Texas, New York, Atlanta, Tampa Bay, Boston) and feasted on the poor teams (even if they struggled to dominate them). I think they'll be OK. Obviously won't be a .650 WPCT team all season.

They wont win at a .650 clip all year. Likely not even .600. Ill be surprised if they arent an 85 win team minimum though

One thing is for sure...their hitting with runners in scoring position has been horrid over the past several games. They're 4 for their last 38 at bats. That's not going to fly long term and you can't expect your pitching to keep bailing you out. Way too many players in this line-up not hitting right now. Hopefully, they'll snap out of it this weekend against the Pirates.

I think that unless you see a clear weakness in overall approach, which I think is not the case for this Orioles team as a group, that these sort of numbers level out over larger times. You'll see a week where things go very wrong...maybe some bad sequencing, maybe some bad approaches, maybe some tough opponents in those situations...but then we'll also see stretches where they come through at a much higher than expected rate.
For the season, even including the recent struggles, the O's have a 252/347/431/778 slash line with RISP. League as a whole is 252/334/416/750, so the O's are average or better in AVG, OBP and SLG.

We'll see. I sure hope it levels out soon. But yes, they have done a solid job with OBP, which is always good to see in my book.

The Rays placed Drew Rasmussen on the 60-Day IL with a flexor strain. Yowza.
Just last night I watched him slice and dice the Yankee lineup for 7 innings of 2 hit ball. He was only at 76 pitches when they took him out after 7, too.
For Tampa Bay, this usually just means, "next man up." Apparently it's Chris Muller's turn out of AAA Durham.

Man Stowers better start heat up soon as Cowser is really showing out in Norfolk!! Can’t recall who is the better defender, Colton or Kyle?
For me it doesn’t matter. Give me the much better bat.

Easily Cowser. He can play a ML CF although he won’t displace Mullins.
