Following their blowout win over Minnesota, Maryland will hit the road again to face off against Michigan State on Tuesday night. The Spartans currently hold a record of 14-9 (6-6), and have lost five of their last seven games. Like the Terps, most of their struggles have come on the road. Tom Izzo's squad has lost just two games at home all year.
Michigan State is led by a trio of guards Tyson Walker and A.J. Hoggard, and forward Joey Hauser. All are averaging double-digit scoring this season. Forward Malik Hall has missed some time due to various injuries, but is currently healthy and averaging starter minutes. As is typically the case for an Izzo-coached team, the Spartans are led by their excellent defense.
Maryland lost all three of their matchups against Michigan State last season. The last time they beat them in East Lansing came in 2020.
