After a tough loss to Purdue, Maryland heads north to Bloomington, IN this weekend to face the 3-3 Hoosiers. After a 3-0 start to their season, Tom Allen's team has lost three straight games to Cincinnati, Nebraska, and Michigan. The 2021 season saw them go winless in conference play, and Allen hired all-new coordinators before this year began. Former Maryland offensive coordinator Walt Bell currently splits play-calling duties for Indiana with Adam Henry. Additionally, former Maryland defensive line coach Chad Wilt is their new defensive coordinator.
Despite being a road conference game, this is still one that Maryland should win. Finishing the month of October with a 6-2 record would go a long way to keeping the season on track, and the road to accomplishing that goal continues this week.
