The first of two tough road games for the Terps starts Saturday against Wisconsin. They'll be thoroughly tested on both sides of the ball, and will have to play a perfect game to have a shot at victory. Maryland has not lost a game on the road yet this season, and the Badgers have not lost a game at home.

Wisconsin is 4-2 (1-1 Big Ten) and are coming off of a bye week. Their losses have come against LSU and Northwestern, wins against Western Illinois, Bowling Green, South Florida, and Illinois. The Terps will be the best team the Badgers have faced at home this season.

Wisconsin:

141.0 passing yards per game (121st in country)

343.0 rushing yards per game (2nd in country)

34.7 points per game (35th in country)

17.7 points against (10th in country)

Maryland:

251.7 passing yards per game (50th in country)

150.6 rushing yards per game (87th in country)

35.1 points per game (31st in country)

26.0 points against (64th in country)

Combined records of teams the Terps have played so far is 28-20.

Combined records of teams the Badgers have played so far is 22-22.

343 rushing yards per game?

Good Lord our front 7 will be tested.

There's a reason why Melvin Gordon is in the Heisman conversation. He's one of those backs who can take it the distance on any given play. The Badgers run a pro-style offense with a good number of one-back looks. They've also been trying to add some read-option and speed-option plays to the playbook recently. Tanner McEvoy is able to run those plays, Joel Stave not so much. They'll both get snaps against the Terps.

Testudo Times: Terps open as 10-point underdogs at Wisconsin

http://www.testudoti...ps-badgers-2014

Oddsmakers aren't high on Maryland's chances to move to 6-2 and 3-1 in the Big Ten next weekend. The Terrapins have opened as 10-point underdogs against Wisconsin on Saturday, according to odds released by Vegas Insider.

Only 10 point underdogs?   I'll be shocked if they keep it under 20.

Going to give up plenty of points.  Can you score? Can you create turnovers? Can you run the ball?

Best case scenario, Terps leave Madison with no serious injuries.

Think people are overrating Wisconsin a bit.

I know they run the ball very well, but MD's d-line looked a lot better against what was supposed to be a decent Iowa line.  Maybe they can contain the run game a bit, and Wisconsin doesn't really throw that much.

I certainly do not expect to win this game, and before the season I think we all pegged this one, OSU and Michigan State as likely losses.  But this is not a powerhouse Wisconsin team.  Go in there, play smart, see what happens.

Worth noting that the Terps received 3 votes in the AP Poll this week, 0 in the Coaches Poll.

According to tweets from Matt Zenitz, starting WLB Matt Robinson is expected to miss multiple games after re-injuring his shoulder. It is yet to be seen whether or not RB Brandon Ross will play this week.
