Forget all the negativity.
Forget all the infighting.
Forget the Royals.
We're not going to a wake today.
Today, today we win and force a Game 5.
Lemme get two claps and a Ric Flair

Still not very hopeful but if they win today, maybe you get a little confidence, and put the pressure back on KC to keep the series there.

"You've reached your quota of positive posts for the day."
Unfortunately, despite what I said in the one thread last night I actually may not be watching much of the game tonight, because I literally have something better to do--4:00 midterm. *sigh*

8-2 Royals.
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

If we rally to win this series it would become example #1 of Orioles Magic!
Right now though I think our wand is on the fritz...

Gonzo will shut them down. Get 2 runs and we win and live to fight on.

I'm fully confident in the first part, it's the second part that worries me.

I never really had a favorite player growing up. I guess I sort of liked Pete Stanicek because I thought his name was cool. Same with Chito Martinez.
But Gonzalez has become my favorite player over the past 3 seasons. I love everything about him and his story. To me, his acquisition and success is the symbol of how this team went from laughingstock to contender.
Maybe tonight, he becomes an Oriole legend and finally gets some of the praise that I feel he deserves more of. Maybe he comes out, pitches 7 strong, and turns the series around in a comeback for the ages. And in 20 years we'll still be talking about how Miguel Gonzalez saved the season for the 2014 Orioles.
Or maybe he comes out and gets shelled and they lose 8-2 as Pedro suggests.
I gave up trying to predict individual baseball games long ago. But boy, that first scenario would be awesome for me.
I won't be able to watch a lot of today's game, which I'm actually OK with. I cannot handle seeing one more broken bat base hit or little flare over the infield.
Go O's!

I agree, a comeback would be legendary.
It would also be astonishing if the Royals won tonight. That would be eight straight playoff wins!
The odds have to be in our favor, at least to reach game 5.

Announcers complaining that Flaherty dropping to one knee was a dirty play.
