Right now, I think most people would have Jones and Cruz 1st, and 2nd.

Who would you have 3rd and 4th? Pearce, Britton?

What do you expect the Top 5 to be at year end?

(How will Tillman, Machado, Davis, Markakis factor?  Do you think any of this group will finish 3rd?)

Without looking at the numbers, I think I can go along with your first two since Nelson has cooled off.

I don't expect Pearce to be in the top 5 at years end, maybe the end of it.

Machado will be, possibly Markakis. The more I see of CD, the less likely I expect him to pick it up.

Chen's got an outside chance at 20 wins, in which case he'd finish in the top 3 (and he probably would even with 18 or 19).

1. Jones- All-around having the best year of an Oriole.

2. Cruz- Better offensive numbers than Cruz, but Jonesy is excellent on defense and Cruz is average at best.

3. Markakis- Most consistent hitter thus far.

4. O'Day- By far most consistent reliever.

5. Britton- Has really saved our butts this year.

6. Tillman- Had it not been for his rough stretch, I'd have him higher.

Gotta be Jones. After that, it's Chen, Tillman, Britton, and Cruz in no particular order.

I'm ready to change my pick to Jones. He's been better all around, and much more consistent.

Cruz is now behind Jones, Pearce, and Machado in fWAR. He's only .1 of a point ahead of Hardy.

Agree. Above I said I expected him to finish 3rd...  don't think he will catch Jones with the local press.... but he might end with a good argument for being second.

1) Britton

2) O'Day

3) Webb

4) Brach

5) Tillman

6) Pearce

I get it. You need starters to do well for your bullpen to be relevant. But our bullpen has simply been huge in the clutch. A less clutch bullpen and this team is flirting with .500.

I'd have O'Day over Britton if you're rewarding a reliever. O'Day has pitched some darn huge innings for us.

Yeah cumulative high leverage situations would have to make O'Day more valuable than Britton IMO. Especially since Britton was an in season promotion to closer, and since being closer has mostly entered the game with the bases empty. Not taking anything away from Britton, O'Day has been nails in so many crucial situations though.

Wonder why? That doesn't pass the eye test to me...
