The Iroquois Nationals? How exactly does that work?
Thanks for posting, you think the US will have any competition or do you expect them to coast through?

What exactly is your question about the Iroquois? They have their own special national citizenship status for their nation.
I expect the US to have some tough games against Canada and Iroquois, but still them making the finals. USA roster seems a bit thin at midfield to me.

You kind of answered it, just a little surprised to see this on the list; maybe I don't pay close enough attention but I've never seen this type of country involved competing against other countries in other sports. Interesting nonetheless.

marquee game for the opening night features team USA vs. Canada tonight at 9 pm on ESPN2 .....should be good stuff.

9-4, as the US scores 80 seconds later... gets a little chippy after the goal. Teams interestingly are sharing a dorm at Denver University apparently.

9-6 US now, who says I don't give less familiar sports a try.
My dad has a working relationship with Paul Rabil's father. So there's my lax fun fact.

US won 10-7.

Lax is a good, entertaining game. Really starting to finally grow. Midwest, FL, Colorado, some California. Would think the Pacific Northwest?
Lax isn't something I typically think about, but I can get into games when on and I pay attention.
Can't speak for WA, but lacrosse is definitely taking off here in the Portland area. A number of high schools play it, and there are youth leagues too. If I'm not mistaken, one of the recent top NCAA recruits in the country was from Oregon.

One of the best players from 2 yrs ago, Peter Baum was from the PAC NW...Oregon I think.
USA 3-0 so far and defense has been really solid.

No baseball, no problem... US up over Australia 8-1 in the 2nd, 11:30 remaining.

US won 22-3... will face Canada (who beat Iroquis Nations 12-6) in the Finals tomorrow.

Shocker.
Agree this was a huge upset, but Canada used the rules to their advantage in expert fashion. They stalled for long possessions as much as possible. USA should have gone into takeaway mode far sooner.
Canada also did a great job of double-teaming the ball and USA was not fast enough in making the pass to the open man.
