Anyone here into bikes? I like working on them. Trying to get back into riding more for fitness. I have a 1995 Trek Multitrack that I'm converting into a drop bar hybrid. gegaqujy.jpg I also have a 29er mountain bike from Airborne, an online retailer.

What do you all ride?

I have two. A 70s falcon and a trek base model. It's the best way to get around the city and stay reasonably fit.

I found a 1998 Gary Fisher Hoo Koo E Koo for cheap on Craigslist.   I had bought it for myself, but my son loved it so much that I decided to fix it up and give it to him.  I don't have a pic handy, but it looks just like this:

When I was a teenager I rode a mountain bike up and down the dirt road sometimes, but I've never had the cash for a road bicycle. I'd really enjoy logging some miles here in Subdivisionland and want to do the Sea Gull Century someday, but seems bloody unlikely anytime soon. Any suggestions for a good, inexpensive bicycle (24-26") and accompanying equipment to start out with? Sources?

We just had our main annual cycling event out here last weekend. Apparently it was a flop due to the sagging attendance.
