22 years old.
As early as 2010, he was regarded as a top 5 prospect for the Angels.
His command and control are issues but he is still just 22.
He seems to stay away from the homer and he has had good(not great) K rates in the minors.
I say grab this guy and turn him into a reliever...or at least let Peterson work with him for a few months and see if he can still be a starter before making him a reliever.
You don't usually get oppurtunities to snatch up 22 y/o prospects for free, so take advantage of it.

Wouldn't hurt as a minor league signing. His trends are pretty bad though. Lower K's, more walks, etc. I'd be at least a little concerned that he walked 15 guys in 7 innings so far this year, too.

It's not just his numbers. His stuff just disappeared. I have no problem with trying him in XST for a while, tossing him into the minors or seeing if there is an underlying injury, but reports are that he lost both velocity and control.

He is 22..unless he is hurt, the loss in velocity is probably mechanical which would also explain the poor control and command...let Peterson work with him. It's not just his numbers. His stuff just disappeared. He is only 22, the possibilities outweigh the risks.
