Sorry, couldn't find the best thread for this. My favorite part is the overlay of fandom and regional dialect. Kind of cool how fandom breaks along the same lines as vernacular in some areas.

Except this one is about 1,000,000,000 times better than any one ever created. There's also a cool article that highlights some of the areas of contention (BAL vs. WAS and BAL vs. PHI included)

21229 is apparently the Most Birdland ZIP in all of Orioles Nation. 79% O's fans, which is a greater concentration of O's fans than concentration of Yankee fans in any ZIP I could find scanning around Yankee Stadium.

/conveniently ignores the instance of two local teams in New York

/doesn't check Boston or St. Louis

Bad news for the Os. Comcast will try to use this map to say that the Os don't have popular support in Lancaster/Harrisburg and therefore Comcast shouldn't have to broadcast MASN there. May make the same claim for Virginia.

Interesting to me how much the Yankees dominate NY and the Giants dominate the Bay Area. Even in Citi Park's zip, Yankees fans outnumber Mets 2-1! Also couldn't find any zips where the A's outnumber Giants. Was a little surprised that Cubs and Sox are much closer around Chicago. Always thought Sox were a poorly supported franchise.

Camden Depot: How the New York Time Baseball Map Hurts MASN

I'd say we're talking 30 million in 2014 with a rate of increase of about 6.5% if Cox and Comcast refuse to carry MASN in those areas. Given MASNs limited popularity it would almost definitely save Comcast/Cox money even if Orioles/Nationals fans went to a different provider.
