Stinson just sealed his fate.
Who takes the place of guy who comes in when it's a blowout and we don't want to waste anyone else? He's cannon fodder.

All 12 runs in this game have been scored via the Home Run.
That's neat i guess.

There's a 10 hour NYY-BOS blowout on MLBN right now so I can't even watch my show.

Yep, kind of cool, though I wish we had hit three of them.

I don't disagree, but they'll cycle in someone else. Someone who eats innings and doesn't get pounded.

Stinson probably has better "stuff" than anyone else who could fill that role. The 25th man on the roster is the least of our problems, right now.

Yeah, that's the crazy thing. I can't remember that happening off the top of my head (though I'm sure it has).

Stinson was the beneficiary of an almost unequaled BABIP last year. Just speculation, but I think Buck gave him his shot based a lot on what he did last year and a decent spring. His stuff is no better than Brach's or McFarland's. Certainly not Gausman when the time comes.
My post before didn't mean it will happen right away but I don't expect he''l be long for the season.

So, it wouldn't be a viable strategy to have a knuckler start the first game of every series to screw up the bats? I always figured that's what I would do if I had a good knuckler and a poor staff otherwise.
It's better to mix them between two high velo guys. Especially say if you were a team like DET or LA and had Verlander or Kershaw to throw first, since they are unhittable on their own, but then the adjustments bats would have to make from that to a knuckler, and back to a good velo guy again the next day can be entertaining. BOS did a GREAT job of that with Wakefield a few years back, made him seem MUCH better than he was, and loved to follow him up with hard throwers out of the pen.
