Their new record comes out in late March and I'm seeing them in Harrisburg this weekend as part of their 10th anniversary shows. Beyond stoked.
Any other fans?

Listening to their new album "Teeth Dreams" right now.
Only on track 2, but it appears they're doing it again -- making amazing music.

Not as bad as some of their stuff. I just don't get this band. That's the only reason I'm crashing this thread I loathed this band in the past. Whenever they came on Sirius I couldn't change channel fast enough.
Yea, well, you also think DHWAV >Die Hard 2, so there's that also working against you.

I just head on the radio this morning that the Hold Steady will be playing one of WTMD's free First Thursday concerts this year, on September 4. They've moved from Mt. Vernon to the Canton waterfront this year.

Bumping this. Like Nigel said, on Thursday, Sept. 4 The Hold Steady will be playing a FREE show at the Canton Waterfront. I encourage everyone to come out and check out a great band that's even better live (seriously, they put on such a great great live show). Brewer's Art will be selling brews there so you beer snobs can come drink your faces off.
DVR NFL Opening Night and watch it afterwards.

I may use uber for this concert.
I am also going to try uber out in Seattle next week -- hotels out there are RIDICULOUS in the downtown area (talking like $350+/night even on Hotwire) so we are staying near SeaTac which is much cheaper but also a decent haul from downtown.

For the record, the metro in the Seattle area is actually pretty good. I stayed by SeaTac and just took the metro into downtown every day. Wasn't bad at all.

Uber will likely be double or triple rates heading to Canton around then. Been really high demand on the First Thursdays. Still much easier than a cab, but may not be cheaper.

If I decided to pregame for a few hours at Claddagh for a few hours before would it be cheaper?

BUMP.
Concert is on Thursday, most likely taking Uber in and getting nice and toasty.
Anyone else going?

Cerrano, have you taken uber before? If not, there are billions of discount codes online for a free ride. Goog it.
