Chris sent me this link.
We obviously had a few BSL nights there.
I really liked this place but they seemed to be a place that didn't know what they were. Are they a restaurant? A sports bar?
I think them not knowing what they were or wanted to be is what hurt them.

Which is funny.. because they are a chain. They should know what they are.
Met with their Mgr once... I told him they had a good thing as the after dinner spot in Harbor East... he said they didn't want to be that... they wanted to be known as a restaurant... like you said, their menu wasn't good enough for that... they were upscale bar food.

Their service was horrendous the few times I went there. Just way understaffed and, if I had to guess, poorly managed. I liked their bar menu and the ambiance was nice.

My experience as well. I threw a surprise birthday party for my girlfriend there last March and it was an unmitigated disaster from start to finish.
After complaining to management, I got $100 in gift certificates (10 dollar increments, who knows why). Only thing was, they expired a week later, before I even had a chance to use them. Pretty much the icing on the cake for me. Good riddance to that place.

You can tell a poorly run/managed spot within 10 minutes of walking through the door in most cases.

Agreed, or whether or not a place is just starting out.
That is a prime location so it won't be empty for long. And if they didn't do well maybe someone else will come in and succeed.
