The Ravens don't want Taylor to be their backup. The draft pick whos name Im forgetting is a developmental guy. So they don't want him at #2 either.
 
 
BEsides, I heard he was struggling in camp. Its very possible he doesn't make the 25 man roster.

Fortunately for Wenning, football teams have 53 man rosters. 
 
I think Yates makes a lot of sense. He's better than Tyrod and is obviously familiar with the offense. He isn't a starter, but is a servicable back-up.
 
As for Wenning, I wasn't thrilled with the pick. He's obviously a developmental guy, but roster spots are valuable. I'm not sure how I feel about carrying 3 QBs.

Read a tweet that Steve Smith and Lardarius Webb got into a fight at practice. Love the enthusiasm. Im not one that thinks these things matter much. They get forgotten about once the games start. Its offense and defense anyway. They dont need to be on the same page.

It's no big deal if it's just a usual practice scuffle, but Smith has a history of taking things too far. I'm sure its nothing, though.

Am I the only one who would love to have Throd as that quick twitch athlete, ala Dexter McCluster? Bring in Yates and utilize Taylor as a weapon.

If they do carry 3 QBs, its not a bad thought. It has to be done right and not be one of those things where its a dead giveaway where the ball is going when Tyrod is out there. Like the Donte Stallworth reverse a few years back.

I would have to check the rules, but I wanna say there's some stipulation that as the 3rd QB he doesnt go against the dress roster for the game. But if the 3rd QB plays then the other two cannot re-enter the game. Not sure if he has to take snaps to officially be in the game as a QB, but if they change his designation and carry two QBs then it takes away one at another position, which I wouldnt do. Taylor absolutely cant be the only backup QB.

Have to think if Wenning goes to practice squad he doesnt clear waivers. Might as well just make him QB2 and be done with it.

Well it is kind of moot now that Yates was traded, however, I was suggesting making Tyrod a receiver/RB/weapon and removing him as a QB altogether.  I think his athleticsm and speed could be a real weapon if utilizied correctly and frankly if I were him, I would be asking for that type of role rather than just being a backup QB that can't really throw the ball.
