A couple of observations...
 

• Smotrycz and Layman are not afraid of taking their shots... both should be solid contributors.
• Mitchell is a solid player.
• Cleare and Faust are NOT ACC-caliber players. God help us. LOL. Dodd has to be a better option than Cleare.
• We need Peters to step up his game and we need a legit 5... hopefully Reed can provide the latter next year.
• I don't see this team as going far this year, however, if the incoming freshman are as good as advertised, we may burst onto the B1G Ten scene next year with a impressive, talented and dangerous roster.

Someone asked me when the Terps played Oregon State if I was rooting for the latter because of the Pac-12, I answered like this "Unless the Terps are playing CU, I'm rooting for the Terps" especially this early in the year.

Haven't given up on Cleare or Faust as solid rotation types. Cleare with 7 points and 3 boards in the 1st half. 

Faust has shown over the last 2 years he is an ACC caliber player. He's taking too many shots 10.8 per game entering tonight, but he can help a roster. Better if he just focuses on defense though. Had 6 rebounds in each of the last 3 games, 2 games this year with 17 points..
