Many in Pac-12 circles didn't think Craig Robinson would be back. Him and Johnny Dawkins were on the hot seat before the season even began.

Obama will be in the hizzy.

Non-political statement I can assure you. Anytime a sitting POTUS is at a sporting event, it's a hindrance. I experienced that first-hand at Nats Opening Day in 2010. It's cool and everything, but a lot more security and harder to get around.

That said I'm glad he'll be there even if he's seeing his bro-in-law, anytime the sitting POTUS comes to your campus/sporting event, it's a big deal.

Yep. Agreed. A win for UMD for sure.

Things I'll be looking for:

1) Does MD get off to a better start? Needs to  happen. Expecting a 10-12 point win.

2) MD's comeback vs. UConn was started by Layman, as was their run vs. Abilene Christian. He can get scorching in a hurry. Can he have an outing, where he is consistently impacting throughout?

3) Wells had 3 FG attempts vs. Abilene Christian. That can't happen again.

4) Smotrycz averaging 7.5 boards so far... think it would be a good sign to see him at that level again tomorrow.

5) Maryland has played better when they've been less passive, and have been more aggressive on defense. I want to see the Terps gain some offense from defense.

6) Faust should get the assignment vs. Nelson, interesting to see if Faust can lock him down.

7) After not playing vs. the Huskies, Dodd had 3 blocks vs. Abilene Christian. Does he get additional time tomorrow?

8) Mitchell is 12 for 16 from the floor so far, and is averaging 7 boards. Starting or not, if he can consistently give MD post production... that is going to help a lot.

9) I want to see some positive play from Cleare. He had some decent games last year (NCST, Clemson, @GaTech)..would be good for his confidence, and that of Terps fans if he did something tomorrow.

10) Peters has had some good passes in his first two games, and played better overall in the 2nd half vs. Abilene Christian, but he already has 7 turnovers against 4 assists. I'd like to see that ratio begin to change tomorrow.

Maybe Maryland should have hired Luke Murray as an assistant this offseason. Then the President could have had a Chicago buddy to sit with at the game :P

No sweat, most MD fans aren't paying attention until the Ravens game is over

Looks like MD/OSU are tied up at 4 and UNC is getting a handful from Belmont.

"OSU-player-X, from the White House, buries it."

Ugh.  Are we gonna be in for nonsense like this the entire night?

Terps trail 25-24, 7:00 left in the 1st half.

Mitchell with 8 points off the bench. His last basket coming on a good look from Peters.

Terps doing well on the offensive boards.
