Going to 16 Wiz games a year just seems like torture, but more power to you.

I have to get to an NBA game sometime. Never been to one. Got to be good seats too. I don't need courtside or anything but being up in the 3rd level seems like a waste.

What do good court level, non premium seats go for in general???

Not cheap. My season seats are in the 400s, about 5 rows up, center court and I love 'em. Face is $45 but I get them discounted with my season plan.

BNick, why won't you get into the Wizards with them being close enough to see a game here and there, and see them on local TV?

Jump on the T'Wolves bandwagon, really fun team to watch.

I almost said to Weber, I'd have to jump on the TWolves train.

Seriously though. I just can't be a real fan of a non MD based team. Pulling for a team yeah, but not what I consider a real fan.

The Terps might as well be D.C. for all intents and purposes. And I would think them still being local in proximity would help you over come that. I mean, I grew up watching the O's in the summer, and the Bullets & Caps in the winter and spring.

I hear ya, and I'm far from a "real fan" of anyone, but as you know, I like to watch and root for great players, and Love & Rubio are so much fun to watch. But yeah, it really doesn't affect my life if they win or lose.

You mean watching every televised Laker game and going to 16 Wiz games a year is too much?

Sixers games should be cheap this year. They're doing Living Social deals and I'm sure there are other ways to get tickets cheap given how much they should suck.

AS you guys will hear, we all have a few "pride" picks, and I'm sitting here going nuts as "my" Mavericks win on opening night.

I cant be a Wash sports fan. Too much conflict of interest there being a Balt sports fan. So Im going to go out and root for the same team with the guy who roots for the SKins and Nats. Nah. I realize that there really isn't a true rivalry between Baltimore and Washington based sports teams but still. It's just another city that's not Baltimore to me.

Im actually closer to Philly than Washington and definitely can't root for them either.

Even though the Terps are essentially in DC they are still the whole state of MDs university.

As Gary Wiliams used to express, Baltimore is more UMD's city than DC even though CP is right outside DC. Gary always repped O's and Ravens hard.

I do understand how MD/Balt fans can attach to the Wiz/ Caps. Especially, if you grew up closer to DC and watched Caps/Bullets games growing up

I'll admit that I sorta root for the Caps during the playoffs but again Im not a real fan. It's not like Im invested that much if they win or lose.

I've seen him at some O's games. There's no doubt about his loyalties in football and it doesn't hurt that he good buddies with Bisciotti.

I'd rather not look at Klay Thompson's shot chart tonight...

I meant to bring up the Mark Jackson thing last night, damn...I was told by a pretty reliable Bay Area friend of a friend in the sports media  that Mike Malone was pretty much the coach of that team last year, and they're a tad concerned about that now that Malone is in Sacramento.

Take it for what it's worth, if anything.

It's early, but Philly and boston are ahead of Brooklyn, and Phoenix looks much better than anyone could have dreamed.

Miles Plumlee?

Really?
