I stayed at Revel last time I was in AC and loved it. Pricey, but would definitely recommend.

Cool topic. I used to play Texas Hold'em online at PokerStars and others like them, for real money. That was a few years back, but the bad beats drove me away. I was pretty new to the game, but became pretty good (I thought), once finishing second in a 50-player cash tourney.
I've never been to Maryland Live, but I once went to Atlantic City to play a cash game. I took $100 with me, and left with $240 after two hours... not bad.
I haven't played in quite a while, but my brother-in-law is one of the best players in the Mid-Atlantic. His name is Jack Long and he wins or finishes in the final table about half of his tourneys. He's legit.
Rob, a cash game at your new place sounds like fun... whenever that comes about, give us all a heads-up.

MD live is supposed to have the most tables running in the country. That's pretty crazy.
I don't get going to AC anymore. I play poker and occasionally table games I can find that an 30-40 min away now. Even closer if I want to play at Perryville.
BTW...I've heard the poker room at Delaware Park may not survive. They got such a large % of their players form MD. I remember being in there last year around playoff time and I swear better than 50% of the room was filled with Ravens gear.

So MD Live has tournaments with cash prizes now. Most of them have bounties for knocking players out. Can't wait, cause I'm not a big cash game fan.

Anybody been playing lately? It's funny as bad as I played over at MD Live in October I've had that itch to back over there and play again. I would prefer AC but it's alot cheaper and shorter drive over to the mall. I really wish they would start having some Sit N Go tournaments with buy-in's in the 50-150 range. Those would be fun

I've found that playing with a solid buzz makes me a much better poker player. Much less conservative and uptight. But I guess that happens with everything when you're drinking.

I havent been playing lately. Xmas shopping and saving for a wedding/honeymoon has really cut into my budget.
A solid night at the table can help pay for those things

Horshoe opened up the other day, gives people another location to play cards. I'd like to try and get back over to Live at some point now, I'm thinking with Horshoe opening the crowds over at Live won't be so bad.

We've hosted poker tournaments 3 of the last 5 Friday's... I've won all 3 of them... on a nice little hot streak.
I've taken out my nemesis all 3 times, too.

My basement/man cave is just about in order (except for carpeting).
The poker table is set up and I've been itching. If anyone wants to play, lets get a night together.
If you're interested, PM me for details. Dead serious about doing this.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

I'm getting pretty good at online poker in the Zynga app. I'm sure playing in person is a whole different beast.
It's a lot more fun. More mind games.
