Were only in the 2nd quarter asking them to win was always going to be a tall order.
Their odds of winning the game is a non-sequitur. The INT changed the game in Clemson's favor.

I just have a hard time saying that, given how early it was. If it was the 4th quarter sure, but a few minutes into the 2nd. You're basically asking Maryland not to have any real mistakes to begin with.

I think Clemson was definitely trying a little surprise there.

MD had all the momentum. It totally swung to Clemson with that play. That is all I'm saying and I don't see what your argument with that is.

Jacobs having a big half. 3rd and 3 coming... really need a few 1st downs.

Young in for a 2nd time... runs it again... brings up 4th and short.

Even if they had scored a TD there, I think it would've been really tough to be able to maintain it. I don't think they won or lost the game on that single play, JMO.

One play by itself rarely does determine the outcome. But you can often point to one play as the turning point. That may very well have been it.

Defense has not been good on 1st Down today. Seems like Clemson has had 2nd-and-short all day.

Even if Clemson pulls away in this game, the performance today makes me more optimistic about the games vs. Syracuse, BC, and NCST.
Watkins is ridiculous.

We'll see, I just find it too early for that.

Not sure, I think each game is somewhat independent of each other. But I do agree you have be more optimistic more than before this game.

So did I. And initially I think Patrick thought so too. You could hear him all excited be like "And the....oh that's just his shoe."
Lemme get two claps and a Ric Flair

I thought it had to be intentional grounding... and it was.

Force the punt. Nice job again d.
Time for the offense to step up.

I get the change of strategy up to this point, but I think right now they need to go back to no-huddle.
