Ok, he wasn't the greatest father... who cares? Not sure why it matters right now. We all know this story only has legs because of the AP connection. It's a terrible story and it's sad, but it takes this kind of thing to get attention for this issue.
I'm not sure that's what Weber was implying there. Just that there probably isn't the greatest emotional connection, necessarily.

ESPN: Erin Henderson arrested again
http://espn.go.com/n...drunken-driving
Minnesota Vikings linebacker Erin Henderson was arrested for drunken driving on Wednesday afternoon for the second time in six weeks, possibly sealing his fate with the team.
Henderson was arrested in Chanhassen, Minn., and booked into the Carver County Jail at 3:03 p.m., according to the Carver County jail roster. Henderson refused to submit to a sobriety test, according to the county jail roster, and faces four DWI charges, including a second-degree charge for refusing a test.
He was also arrested on Nov. 19 for drunken driving and possession of a controlled substance, and left the team for several days after the arrest for a personal matter that Henderson and former coach Leslie Frazier said was unrelated to his arrest.
This should be a season-long suspension atleast for getting two DUIs in six weeks.

I don't care how much the team tries to downplay or deny any or all of this...there's no way that coach gets the head job in Minnesota now, right?

CBS Sports: Vikings to conduct independent review of Chris Kluwe allegations
http://www.cbssports...uwe-allegations
Less than 24 hours later, the Vikings have already started the process of that review by calling in former Chief Justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court Eric Magnuson and former US Department of Justice trial attorney Chris Madel to lead the investigation.
"It is extremely important for the Vikings organization to react immediately and comprehensively with an independent review of these allegations," team owner Mark Wilf said in a statement.

Norv Turner close to accepting OC position with the Vikes.

He'd be a good fit there. Power running, good OL, Cordarrelle Patterson is tall and stretches the field. Rudolph is a servicable TE. Fit's his scheme perfectly.

If you don't consider Torrey Smith to be a fit for the Air Coryell, why then is Patterson? Patterson is 1" taller and 12 lb heavier. Torrey's vertical jump was 4" higher and his arms are almost an inch longer.
Is 6' 2" really the cutoff for tall receivers and 6' 1" makes you a small receiver?
Posted 16 January 2014 - 05:36 PM
Patterson is 6'3" according to the Vikings team site. I consider 6'3" and up bigger because there aren't many 6'3" corners. Jimmy Smith is our biggest DB and he's 6'2", but the rest are under 6'. If most DBs are 6' and under, those extra two inches could be huge.
I didn't look at the arms, or vertical, so maybe you're right about Torrey. It's splitting hairs I guess if I say that Torrey absolutely doesn't fit but Patterson absolutely does. Maybe Torrey is a fit. He has gotten better at going up and catching balls in traffic. But sometimes he gets jammed at the line and it's all over.

The Vikings ended Round 1 with Teddy Bridgewater. Know his Pro Day was horrible, and he was obviously sliding in the weeks leading up to last night... but I think the Vikings getting him 32nd overall is something they can feel good about.
And of course they had added Barr earlier. Nice night.
