Gross matchup for us.
Need 3 of 4 here.
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Have to have 3 of 4. No if ands or buts. The difference between being 2 down to Tampa with 6 to play and being tied with them is huge. Granted, Texas and Cle are still in play, but we can't control anything with them.
I do think we can steal tonight. We seemingly always make Price work hard.

Offense just needs to wake up from its RipVanWinkle-esque slumber.

Interesting...
From Roch:
For the Orioles
Manny Machado 3B
Adam Jones CF
Chris Davis 1B
Danny Valencia DH
Matt Wieters C
J.J. Hardy SS
Nick Markakis RF
Michael Morse LF
Brian Roberts 2B
Jason Hammel RHP
For the Rays
David DeJesus LF
Desmond Jennings CF
Ben Zobrist 2B
Evan Longoria 3B
Wil Myers DH
Matt Joyce RF
James Loney 1B
Jose Molina C
Yunel Escobar SS
David Price LHP
Not benched like I was hoping, but down to 7th is better than 5th for Markakis. I think McLouth playing in LF and Morse in RF would be a lot better.

Meh, is my official stance here. Wouldn't complain with either guy sitting. That said, Nick has the better numbers off of lefties this year and has actually seen Price and done ok against him. 11 for 42. McClouth has never faced him.

I'd rather see Markakis lead off than Machado. It doesn't go with the platoon split, but in terms of simply getting on-base right now, I think Nick has a better shot than Manny. Nick's been bad recently, but his OBP for the month is still 100 points better than Manny's.

The pattern mowed into the beautifully manicured grass in CF is pretty cool.
