I thought the same thing last night. Just comparing to the announcers for swimming. The swimming guys seemed way more into those races than the track announcers seemed to be into the track and field races. I'd prefer to see more energy on the calls. Also wouldn't at all hate a "down the stretch they come" shout out at the end of some of these distance races
Perfect example last night, American Ryan Crouser, throws an Olympic Record toss in the Shot on his first throw and the analyst's remark was "I don't know about that his hat fell off" Track and Field has a lot of nit picky rules, but you aren't getting DQ'd for that.
