Whats your favorite season for beers?

Spring shouldn't even be an option,  I wouldn't even include Summer in my poll.  It comes down to Fall and Winter with the edge going to Fall.

Winter beers for me are the best because I love potent and dark beers probably the most. But even then, some REALLY solid light ales and even IPA are made in the winter.

 

I just think most Pumpkin beers are terrible or overdone. Besides a few that are decent, most are just not good in the grand scheme of beer. There are some really good fall beers though.

 

spring beers are usually a joke. I don't want flowers in my beer, sorry!

I think I lean towards fall as well.(summer is second for me)

 

I like some of the pumpkin beers although I agree with Tucker that some of them are just awful.

 

But I am a big fan of a lot of the Oktoberfest beers.

I do enjoy a Pumpkin Beer from time to time.

 

There's just something to be said about the fall, when the weather gets cooler, football starts, and you're drinking Oktoberfest beer.

 

I need to stock up on it now, because once October rolls around, it's hard to find.

One of the tipping points (no pun intended) for me with giving the edge to Fall beers over Winter beers is the ABV.  Many of those winter beers come in at 8% or higher.  You have more than a couple of those and you are going to be on your butt.  Most Oktoberfest brews are in the 5-6 range.  Meaning you can put away a few more while watching Football and still feel good.  Some of the pumpkins are a bit higher, but I know there's several with lower ABV as well.

To me, that is a positive haha.

Fall for me.

 

I'm a big pumpkin beer fan, though not if they are too sweet or have pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, or nutmeg in them.  I just like the straight up flavor of pumpkin.  Saranac's Pumpkin Ale is one of my favorites.  Also really like Oktoberfest style beers. 

 

Winter is very good as well.

I don't mind a orange or lemon or lime slice in a beer, but I don't like it brewed into it very much.

Oh yeah, I didn't mean to imply otherwise.  An orange slice in some Blue Moon or similar beer is fine by me.

I don't try a massive amount of different beers like many of you, but I love Mad Elf and Sam Adam's Winter Lager, so I'll go Winter.
