Ouch. He was a good glue piece for them. Portland may look to sell and they def shouldn’t trade for Love

Carmelo Anthony will be back in PDX next season. 1-year at league minimum. I think the Blazers were willing to move on if he got a better offer, but happy to have him come back when that didn't materialize.
They've quietly put together a nice offseason with the trades for Covington and Kanter, bringing back Hood and Carmelo, and signing Derrick Jones, Jr. If they can get a dependable backup PG with their bi-annual exception they'd be a pretty deep squad.

On what would have been the first day of training camp, the Blazers had to shut down their facility today due to 3 positive COVID tests. No word on whether any of them were players, coaches, or other staff.

In what was likely the worst kept secret in the NBA coaching ranks, Terry Stotts was fired. Jason Kidd looks to be Damian Lillard's first choice. While other teams obviously have in the past, I'm not sure the Blazers would be willing to overlook his baggage, even to keep their franchise player happy.
EDIT: Sounds like Lillard's second favorite coaching choice is Chauncey Billups, who just so happens to come with similar baggage as Kidd.

Nike founder Phil Knight and Dodgers co-owner Alan Smolinisky have made a $2 billion-plus written offer to purchase the Portland Trail Blazers, sources tell ESPN. Discussions are ongoing with the Paul Allen trust that's overseeing ownership of team. Story soon.
Been rumored several weeks that a sale was imminent. Surprised to see Phil Knight involved given; 1) his age (84) and the likelihood that the franchise would have to be sold again soon, and 2) what would seem to be a big conflict of interests considering his role with Nike and that the company is both the official apparel provider of the league and has endorsement deals with so many of the players.
In another article I heard mention of names like Larry Ellison (previously tried to buy 3 other NBA teams), MacKenzie Scott, and Lauren Powell-Jobs.
