Still love Stevie, and if my friend who is a Blazers fan is any indication, he was pretty popular during his run with the Blazers. Seems like a really solid move. I've said before if Blake is your starting PG, that's probably a weakness, but he's capable of being one of the best backup PGs in the league.

He is still well-liked here, and he does in fact still have his home here where his family lives year-round, which was a big factor in taking what was probably less money than he could have gotten elsewhere. He's a different player than the guy he'll replace, Mo Williams, but based on what the Blazers like to do Blake may be a slightly better fit offensively, and definitely gives a better effort on the defensive end of the court.

Also, there's a decent chance Chris Kaman is hilarious. When he signed with the Blazers, he changed his Twitter profile picture to a picture of Rasheed Wallace, but he photoshopped his face on his body. Also lists his life groups as PETA and the NRA.

LaMarcus Aldridge is out 2 months with a torn ligament in his thumb. Stick a fork in the Blazers.

I remember those Blazers teams vs. the Pistons and Bulls. Sad.

Just looked up the 1990 NBA Finals (Blazers / Pistons)... see that Fred Manfra had the ABC Radio call with Dick Vitale.

Cool....I barely recall DV doing NBA work. Blazers had a hell of a run for a few years in the late 80s - early 90s. But they just happened to run into the Pistons at the end of their dynasty, and then the Bulls at the beginning of theirs.

Blazers just got Afflalo. Their bench just got a whole lot better.

I would have preferred Chandler, and Afflalo is probably only a rental (player option for 15-16). But still, they didn't give up much.

Chandler has to be one of the most wanted pieces out there this year.

But yeah, PDX is going all in this year.

Wes Matthews tore his Achilles tendon tonight, done of the season. Bad loss for the Blazers.

That's a tough blow. Big player for them. Saw his 31 point game vs. the Spurs last week.
